Well, I don't know about you, but I am READY to see the snow melt and new growth come up. Some SUN wouldn't kill me either.
Papertrey Ink's Blog Hop Challenge for February is to create things that bring SPRING to mind!
Some inspiration--
Anyway, I made TWO cards, (well, two versions of the same idea) using PTI's Harvest Berries stamps and dies, and their Funky Florals stamp set.
I made these--
Now, there is a die that coordinates with the flower stamps, but I don't have it, so I cut the basic shapes with circle dies, and hand snipped the rest of the shapes. The label is a Spellbinder's die. Now, if my yard would just start to resemble these cards, I would be a very happy Mr. Cardmaker.
Thanks for stopping by!
All Best--
Richard
I seriously love this! Beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteI am blown away by the design; your card caught my eye in Link list:) Shades of blue and green are my favorite. This is a jawdropper; stunning!
ReplyDeleteSO ready for spring!!! Tee hee....you have me singing (in Muppet fashion) "one of these cards is not like the other". Your cards are like a burst of spring, Sir Richard! Beautifully done - kudos on your 'die cut' flowers! Using the circle was pure genius. Thanks for sharing! Signed.....Patti J. 'BRAND NEW 1st TIME GRANDMA'!!!
ReplyDeleteLovely to see a man's cards amongst the all the females in the blog hop. Love your cards!
ReplyDeleteI love these- the layouts and colors are wonderful (and I just adore pearls on anything)!!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you joined in the fun! Love seeing your takes on a challenge and this is no exception. Rich blues and greens, fun designer paper and look at your ingenuity cutting those blooms! Great stamps and dies together too!
ReplyDeleteWow, everything about them is gorgeous! You need to get on PTI's Design Team!!
ReplyDeleteIt's the Yin and Yang of gorgeousness and the envy of any lawn! I love the flip n' flop of the papers and yes, the pearls made me squeal a little. Awesome seeing you post again Richard. Have a great one!
ReplyDeleteOh, I almost forgot....sun? What is this word you speak of....
Lisa :)
Lovely cards, Richard! I love how you split the patterned papers on the diagonal like that!
ReplyDeleteJust lovely!
ReplyDeleteI could send you some sunshine for a price...but it comes with the -30!
I'm afraid Spring is still months off for us!
Wonderful cards! I like the idea of using a circle to get started with cutting out the flowers. I'm sure I have some that would benefit from that technique! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty cards, love the designs, hope this finds you doing well, have a good day!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards. Love the design.
ReplyDeleteSurfing over from Moxie Fab World. Well, OK, buddy, I am going to follow your blog because i wish there were more men in the papercrafting hobby. I don't know why it has to be so relentlessly girly. I'm a woman, but most of my friends through life have usually been men. I feel kind of ghettoized in the paper blogosphere.
