Banner Days

Well, I meant to get this up here long ago, but getting the proper lighting seemed impossible.
I waited for the brightest time of day, but the sun wouldn't cooperate at all.

Many of these are blurry, and I apologize for that, but I hope you can get a good idea of where I was going with this one.

I made this--

Can't see it?

How about now?

Or this?

Nah.  See what I mean about photos of these things?

Let's try seeing each one individually--(LOTS of Photos alert..)

I wanted to show you this one first,, because you can see here the leaves that separate each panel piece. I just pasted punched leaves together on a gold thread.  Super easy, but a nice added detail.
Oh, and note the "cheerful" diecut.  Totally pieced together from some Christmas word dies (Paper Smooches).

This one is one of my faves. That teensy leaf on the tree just works for me.

Love this one, too.  Love the red jacquard with the grey and gold.

So, you can see (at least most of) it now.
The overall look, again--

I was pretty happy with this one.  I hope it will hold up in storage, so I can use it again next year.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
All Best--

  1. You know what...that's a great idea! I've seen many a banner for fall, but none displayed like this. Having the leaves in between is just perfect!! Your home was wonderfully decorated for Autumn Richard and I have to say, the flag with the solo tiny leaf on the tree..MY FAVORITE too. Well, they are all completely festive, but it really captured the feeling!!! Your figurines on the mantel are also a groovy talking point...the cat costume....LOVE that!

  2. Very cool! I agree with Lisa...having the leaves in between is perfect.. Could you tell me the name of the 'wheat' die? I adore it!

  3. OMGoodness!! That is fabulous!! Each banner is so unique and the whole thing together is just amazing!

  4. Holy wow!! First, I love your wall and your mantel decorations and the way the sun comes in, and on and on and on. The banner is fantastic - such detailed work. Although all the plaid acorns just blow me away (I'm a sucker for plaid) my favorite is the winter tree with one leaf and the word love - oh how that speaks to me! You're such an artist....thanks for sharing.

  5. Wonderful banner Richard! And your room is warm and inviting!!!!

  6. Looks like Thanksgiving was a great success. Hope the Christmas prep is going well too. I love that wheat die cut, BTW. Good purchase ;)

  7. did I miss this? Amazing! Your house was so festive...can't wait to see it all decked out in Christmas colors! Have a good night!
